Rochester, Minnesota (Rochester Sun Times News) --  I recently learned that the duration preceding the sunrise (or sunset), commonly called the “civil sunrise,” typically falls within a timeframe of 30 minutes to 40 minutes.

Today, I had the incredible opportunity to capture not just the civil sunrise, but also the sunrise itself. Both of these moments painted a breathtaking scene that constantly evolved, leaving me in awe. As a journalist, this experience truly captivated me, and I couldn’t help but wonder how it must have affected the other creatures within my view. In fact, some of them seemed to be eagerly expecting the appearance of the actual sun, ready to bask in its glorious light. Today, as I take a moment to reflect, it becomes evident to me that amidst the chaos of the world, the dawn breaks with a radiant light, known by some as twilight or civil sunrise, infusing energy and vibrancy into the teeming creatures that inhabit our planet.

With the arrival of the morning sun, its radiant glow illuminates the surroundings, filling all creatures - be it the animals, the birds, the people, or even the worldwide visitors who arrive by flying in, flying out, driving in, driving out, riding in, and riding out - with a sense of joy and warmth. Greetings from Rochester, Minnesota, where the day is just beginning.
