Written and illustrated by Lisa Loucks-Christenson, The Toads of Telemark™ is a syndicated Christian comic that has gained a devoted following. The comic Lisa created is based on her real-life toads, Jasper Traine and his beloved partner, Jessica Duke, both of whom served as the inspiration for this comic. By utilizing the characters of toads, this Christian comic communicates the divine teachings of God to its readers.
After an accident that cost Jasper his life, he arrives in heaven and meets God. A radiant smile spread across Jasper’s face as God presented him with the choice to return to earth and be reunited with his beloved Jessica Duke or remain in heaven, asleep with the other toads until He wakes them up.
Jasper, returns to Earth, and he is expected to promote God’s promises and provide words of encouragement to remain there. He and Jessica Duke maintain their bond and partake in prayer together. The irremovable halo on Jasper’s arm serves as a constant reminder that God is always by his side.
