Sometimes It’s What Isn’t Seen—but Heard: The Sound Between Storms

Sometimes It’s What Isn’t Seen—but Heard: The Sound Between Storms

August 16, 2026 — 11:25 p.m. CDT

Tonight, I continued shooting Derecho Shrimp, an Oak Savanna Winds™ film and Lisa Loucks-Christenson documentary now in its second year of production.

The film covers Books One and Two: Derecho Shrimp and Derecho Shrimp 2: Double Lightning Bolts. Will there be a third? The footage does not show Saint himself. Instead, it captures the bur oak and surrounding trees where Shrimp’s brother had just been eating acorns high above me. There was no flash—only raw footage and a glimpse of the real oak savanna at the Laurie (Loucks) Burt Wildlife Sanctuary, a place I named for my sister, who passed away here.

As her death day approaches, Saint brought me close to her again.

Two storms. Two courtroom battles. One wrong wind could collapse it all. Every prayer is needed to fight the impossible.

God’s Gavel Song—coming soon.

Thank you for supporting my work.

Lisa
