Rochester, Minnesota (Rochester Sun Times News)-Earlier tonight, I saw my phone light up and I turned it over to see that it was my husband calling.
“Finally, you answer,” he shared.
“I didn’t know you’d been calling,” I replied. I didn’t even need to look at my phone settings, to know that my “Friday Muter” had returned.
Who is this character? Does he wear a big black cape with “FM” pinned on it with diaper pins? This childish trickster has been at this for so long. Yawn, it’s no longer even worth looking into. Game over.
The feeble attempts to scare me with devices do not intimidate me, for I am fearless in the face of cowards.
By muting my phone, they are violating federal laws. I have my right to free speech, which allows me to express my thoughts and opinions openly.
Why would I worry about a “Friday Muter” returning on yet another Friday afternoon? Shrug.
The fix: I refuse to be silenced! I know how to turn the ringer back on.
Someone posted my bookstore was closed on “Tuesday” this week. Someone was in my Google store settings and changed the hours and marked my store as closed.
I’m not posting about what happened on Wednesday.
On Thursday, my computer clock was surreptitiously adjusted, seemingly with the intention of distorting any evidence that may be linked to specific timestamps. The time on the clock was a few minutes ahead, likely due to someone’s intervention.
The lingering question remains: Could the person who broke into my photo studio, leaving behind dirt tracks that unveiled their shoe size, also be the one who placed a deceased sparrow in my window? It was unsettling to see the bird with its eyes sewn shut.
I have concrete evidence, including photographic proof of your foot tracks...why did you decide to use the window instead? You should have taken a moment to wipe your feet at the door, leaving behind the dirt and grime from outside. A forensic team could potentially analyze the dirt on the carpet through various tests. Not only did you leave tracks behind, but your shoe size was also clearly visible.
I won’t allow my eyes to be silenced either, just like my voice. You may be aware that God had his eye on the life of that sparrow.
After several years have passed, I find myself questioning whether it is your work, especially considering the consistent pattern of break-ins with the same modus operandi. The identity of the person who took my first book sign at the mall is of no importance to me. The news of the stolen eyes on the replacement book sign didn’t faze me much; I hardly blinked upon hearing about it.
Subsequently, a peculiar letter arrived, heightening the sense of suspicion. Since they inquired about it, I ended up giving the Rochester Police a copy of the letter that had been slipped into the closed doors of Peacock Books sometime between Saturday night and Monday morning. We observed a weekly closure on Sundays, ensuring a day of rest for our family.
The letter writer wanted to know how Peacock’s were best cooked and asked and asked if “fried” was best.
I gained a lot of new insights and knowledge from the contents of your letter. It was fascinating to observe the distinctive way in which you formed your letters, incorporating hooks and slashes, and the subsequent shift in your handwriting.
Including threats within this context added an element of intensity. I wasted no time in signing up for a forensic handwriting class after receiving it, determined to check it off my bucket list, just below the After-Action Reporting and Missing Indigenous Woman on the Cops Training Portal.
From my perspective, the top priorities on most people’s bucket lists revolve around going on vacations. Instead of going on vacation, I prefer to dedicate my time to studying coursework, watching class videos, and earning a couple of certificates. During this process, I am also trying to understand what exactly is wrong with you.
With digital, video, film, audio, I am confident in my abilities and can easily handle camera operations from the get-go. I have successfully conducted countless interviews, with or without video, in a wide range of locations and weather. Do you know what doesn’t survive? Equipment. I use my equipment, skills, knowledge, voice to bring out the truth. As a Christian journalist, I give all the glory to Jesus.
It is now time to wrap up this article and bring it to a close. As you have made a reappearance on my calendar, I find it necessary to implement further booby traps that will ensnare you.
See you on the journey.—Lisa
